Move forward as Junior Account Manager at DSV in Venlo

You get it done

Working alongside your colleagues, you not only follow up on new leads but also maintain contact with our existing customers, from the initial phone call to a signed quote. You’re on it.

How do you do this? Within your sales territory, you'll be responsible for selling a variety of transportation solutions, including FTL (full truck loads), LTL (less than truck load), and groupage. You'll encounter a wide range of requests in various combinations. You'll follow up on every lead to qualify the customer's needs. Depending on the size of the request, you'll either handle it yourself or pass it on to our key account managers. Once you've identified the customer's needs, you'll create a suitable proposal and ensure timely follow-up because, of course, you aim to win! You achieve this by:

  • proactively maintaining contact with new and existing customers, recording every customer interaction in our CRM system;
  • identifying the underlying needs of the customer. You screen and qualify leads, provide quotes, and prepare quotes;
  • developing an in-depth understanding of your customer through frequent phone contact. This way, you grasp the customer's needs and tailor your approach accordingly;
  • recording findings from customer interactions in our CRM system and analyzing this data. You maintain a close relationship with the account manager, who regularly visits the customer.

You bring

  • a strong commercial drive, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. In this role, you're truly a relationship builder;
  • proficiency in both Dutch and English;
  • some experience in the transport sector is a plus, but we're happy to teach you the ins and outs of the industry;
  • proficiency in MS Office, with prior experience working in a CRM system being a preference.
