Move forward as Coordinator Dock Planning at DSV in Venlo

Are you looking for a challenging role where you'll be responsible for coordinating dock planning and ensuring the efficient flow of inbound and outbound transportation? As a coordinator of dock planning at DSV, you'll ensure that everything runs smoothly!

You get it done

As coordinator of dock planning, you're the linchpin in the logistical process. You'll be responsible for directing loading and unloading activities and coordinating inbound and outbound transportation. You’re on it.

How do you do this? You'll work closely with team members, crossdock team leaders, and other departments within DSV to ensure smooth operations. You achieve this by:

  • coordinating dock planning for local activities and export shipments and effectively communicating with various stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • directing loading and unloading lists to ensure an efficient workflow;
  • acting as a work distributor for a team of 15 to 20 employees, in collaboration with crossdock team leaders;
  • maintaining overview, especially during the busiest moments of the day. You keep your cool.

Your team stands out within DSV for its "getting things done" mentality. You keep your cool during peak hours, but you're only satisfied when everything is out the door.

We are DSV, we grow

DSV is a global provider of transport and logistics services. With offices in more than 90 countries and a growing network of partners, there is no place in the world we cannot reach via transport by air, sea, rail, courier or road or where we can offer storage in warehouses.

One team, one task. It may sound cliché, but that's what we stand for as a crossdock team,

according to Patric Vosbeek, Senior Manager Terminals & Handling.

In the Netherlands, we operate from over 25 branches, with more than 3,000 colleagues. Together we rise to the challenge of a rapidly changing environment. We make quick decisions at every level and combine ambition and teamwork. This is how we move forward and make a difference together.

You bring

  • proficiency in both Dutch and English languages;
  • demonstrable experience in a coordinating role within the logistics sector;
  • ability to perform under pressure, prioritize, and switch quickly between tasks;
  • leadership qualities essential for motivating and steering a team, combined with a willingness to work flexibly in two shifts (from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm).

It all counts for this vacancy of coordinator dock planning in Venlo. Furthermore, it is of course important that you feel at home with us. That will certainly be possible if you like to keep going, have guts and want to grow with DSV.
