You get it done

As a supervisor of logistics engineering, you lead a team of about 10 logistics process engineers, spread across 7 DSV locations in the South-East Netherlands region. Your team operates largely autonomously. Using the scrum method, they align their projects, tasks, and progress with the site teams every 2 weeks. As a supervisor, working closely with your two colleagues supervising our WMS team, you set the big picture. You’re on it.
 
How do you do this? Your mission as a supervisor of logistics engineering is to ensure that your team continues to grow and develop, covering a wide range of specialties in the South-East Netherlands region. In collaboration with national and international engineering colleagues, project management, QHSE, and DSV Sigma. From Maastricht to Venlo, you and your team are responsible for more than 200,000m2 of warehouse space. You achieve this by:

• coaching your team, conducting one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and progress reviews. Additionally, you are responsible for managing sick leave and hiring and onboarding new colleagues;
• serving as a substantive sparring partner for your team members;
• optimizing processes, from large-scale automations to old-school conventional warehouse solutions;
• aligning projects and priorities in consultation with our account managers and operational managers;
• building a strong internal network with colleagues in automation, IT, and HR, for example.

You bring

• HBO/WO level of education, preferably in logistics;
• about 5 years of experience in logistics engineering, process engineering, or supply chain engineering;
• leadership experience, preferably supplemented with logistics automation projects;
• a structured and hands-on way of working. You are communicatively strong, both in Dutch and English.
