FAQ

DSV offers a wide range of transport options, including air freight, sea freight, and XPress deliveries. Our air freight is ideal for time-critical shipments, while sea freight is a cost-effective choice for larger volumes. For urgent deliveries, we provide XPress services, ensuring priority handling for the fastest possible transit time.

Direct shipments to and from the Philippines via air freight usually take 1-3 days, depending on the route and handling. Including pick-up and delivery services, the total transit time may extend to 4-5 days. Sea Freight via European ports such as Rotterdam or Antwerp to or from Manila usually takes 40-45 days. For ports like Cebu or Davao, transit times may be longer depending on the route. DSV offers advanced track & trace capabilities, allowing you to monitor your shipments in real-time and always stay informed about their status.

The Philippines has strict customs regulations, including import duties and taxes. For shipments to the Philippines, you will typically need a commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading or Air Waybill, and possibly a certificate of origin. Specific goods may require additional documents, such as import permits. Certain products, such as electronics and food items, may also need extra licenses. Our team will assist you in complying with these regulations.

The costs depend on several factors, such as the mode of transport, volume, destination, Incoterms, and any additional services required. DSV offers competitive rates and transparent pricing. Contact us for a customised quote tailored to your needs.

DSV utilizes the most strategic transport hubs in the Philippines. Manila, Cebu, and Davao are the most frequently used seaports due to their connectivity and efficiency. For air freight, Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Mactan-Cebu International Airport are the primary choices, thanks to their modern facilities and convenient locations. Our presence in these key logistics hubs enables us to provide swift and efficient transport solutions.

The Philippines experiences frequent typhoons and heavy rainfall, especially during the rainy season from June to November. These conditions can sometimes cause delays in sea and air freight due to port closures or damage to local infrastructure. At DSV, we actively monitor weather patterns and adapt routes and schedules to mitigate disruptions. Our team ensures timely updates and offers alternative solutions to maintain the smooth flow of your shipments, even during challenging weather conditions.
