Israel-Hamas war: Operational update as of 11 October

Following the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas, we are monitoring the situation closely. DSV continues to be fully operational in the country.

Across DSV, we are closely monitoring the war between Israel and Hamas. We are both deeply concerned and saddened about the escalation of the conflict.

DSV continues to be fully operational in the country. As the situation continues to evolve, we are monitoring the implications for our operations closely. Below is an operational update across the different modes of transport as of 11 October:

Ocean freight

At the moment, all Israeli ocean ports are fully operational, and all shipping lines are calling Israeli ports. However, the ports are facing delays in the loading and offloading of containers due to a lack of staff.

Air freight

As of 11 October, Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) remains fully operational. However, there continue to be cases of severe flight delays. Right now, the only airlines operating to full capacity are Israeli carriers El Al Israel Airlines, Arkia Israeli Airlines, Israir and Challenge Airlines. Most international carriers have temporarily cancelled their flights, with the exception of Thai Airways International, TAROM, Ethiopian Airlines, DHL Aviation, British Airways, Virgin Airlines, flydubai and Hainan Airlines.

The warehouses at the TLV airport are operational and currently fully staffed but might face delays as a result of a future lack of staff.

For more information about the capacity of the Israel business and any current limitations to the shipments to and from Israel, please reach out to your local DSV contact to find your local DSV office.
