MAN takes handling of down time very seriously, so with a dedicated Up Time Principle (UTP) support network, if a truck is likely to be off the road for more than 12 hours, we will raise an incident report and send it electronically to the team.
The technical team will contact us and assist with any technical challenges we may experience, offering further technical advice through to additional labour support. If there is a parts problem, the team will help to locate one. For example, the team will contact the MAN dealer network, borrow one from the MAN training school and even search within Europe.
