Service options to keep your goods moving
This summer, a number of large-scale sporting events will bring some disruption to the delivery network within France.
The largest of these will be the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Olympics will take place from Friday the 26th of July until Sunday the 11th of August and the Paralympics will start on Wednesday the 28th of August until Sunday the 8th of September. In addition, commencing on June 26th, the Tour de France will have a rolling limited impact on some local services throughout France until the 21st of July.
We expect to see transport disruption in several places in France, particularly centered around Paris, where the following ZIP codes will be affected: 75, 78, 92, 93, 94, and 95. Certain areas will have limited entry during this time, we are working hard to minimise the disruption and to find optimal and potential re-routings.
We have been advised that the installation of infrastructure, the movement of athletes and visitors and the subsequent dismantling and clearing of temporary traffic routes, will mean that there will be widespread access restrictions to routes in Paris and the wider Metropolitan area during the summer.
DSV France has created a notification webpage to publish news and updates regarding traffic and service restrictions as they happen, here you will find the official websites linked to the organisation of transport during the Olympic Games, keep informed by clicking on the link below.
